Gurugram, June 28 (Ozi news desk):  Gurugram experienced heavy rainfall throughout the night, giving residents a glimpse of what they can expect during the monsoon season. The city faced significant waterlogging issues, particularly in residential areas, making it impossible for people to leave their homes.

The most affected areas include Greenwood City, Ardee City, Sectors 21 and 23, Caterpuri, Palam Vihar, and Bhim Nagar, as reported in the early morning updates. The situation was dire, with locals taking to social media to highlight the crisis. Many children were unable to attend school, and people couldn’t go to work due to their vehicles being submerged in water.

The entry and exit gates of housing societies were also flooded. Adding to the chaos, the garbage scattered across the city was washed onto the roads, exacerbating the situation. The administration recorded rainfall measurements of 82 mm in Sohna tehsil, 30 mm in Gurugram, 55 mm in Wazirabad, and the lowest rainfall of 3 mm in Pataudi.
