Maharani Geeta Devi, wife of Maharaja Brigadier Sukhjit Singh of Kapurthala, passed away in Delhi last evening. He was 86 years old. According to information received, he died at his home in Greater Kailash after a brief illness. She is survived by husband Maharaja Sukhjit Singh, son Tikka Raja Shatrujit Singh and daughters MK Gayatri Devi and MK Preeti Devi. The last rites of Maharani will be held in Delhi today.
