Compared to 2022, the animals that are getting lumpy infection in 2023, new symptoms are also seen in those animals along with the normal symptoms of lumpy, due to which this disease is proving to be more dangerous for animals than before. is So far more than 300 animals have died in Balaghat district. A team of experts has brought samples from Balaghat to identify the new strain.
By imposing Section 144 in Balaghat district, a ban has been imposed on the transportation of cattle in public places, markets along with bull market, hot market. There are more than six lakh cattle in the district, which are at risk of new variants of lumpy disease
Lumpy disease in Balaghat came through Chhattisgarh in 2022, Lanji region had the highest number of sick animals. After this, the disease spread throughout the district. Three animals died during this. When the animals were lumpy, they had fever, stopped eating and drinking, had lumps and swelling on the body.
