On Monday, a family member revealed that two students, one hailing from Wanaparthy in Telangana and the other from Srikakulam in Andhra Pradesh, were discovered deceased in their accommodation in Connecticut, USA.
The students have been identified as G Dinesh (22) from Wanaparthy, Telangana, and Nikesh (21) from Srikakulam, Andhra Pradesh. The family members of the Telangana student are unaware of the circumstances surrounding his death, as well as that of his roommate.
Dinesh’s demise, along with his roommate’s, was conveyed to us by his friends residing in a nearby room on Saturday night. The cause of their deaths remains unknown,” stated Dinesh’s relatives.
As per one of the family members, Dinesh departed for Hartford, Connecticut in the US on December 28, 2023, to pursue higher education, while Nikesh arrived a few days later.
Interestingly, they became roommates in the US as they shared mutual friends.
A member of Dinesh’s family mentioned that they have reached out to Union Tourism Minister G Kishan Reddy and Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy for assistance in repatriating Dinesh’s body.
Wanaparthy MLA Megha Reddy has also extended support to facilitate the return of Dinesh’s remains. He visited the student’s family and provided them solace.
Furthermore, a family member of Dinesh revealed that they have had no communication with Nikesh’s family as both individuals recently relocated to the US.
