Chandigarh, June 19 (Ozi news desk):  State Congress president Udai Bhan responded to the induction of five-term MLA Kiran Choudhry into the BJP by accusing her of backstabbing the party during the Rajya Sabha election in 2022. Bhan expressed relief that Choudhry would now openly fight against them. He further claimed that former CM Manohar Lal Khattar had exposed Choudhry by stating that her body was in the Congress but her heart was with the BJP. Bhan demanded an explanation from Khattar regarding the alleged deal struck with Choudhry during the Rajya Sabha election. The cross-voting in the Rajya Sabha poll resulted in the defeat of Ajay Maken, who currently serves as the national treasurer of the Congress. Bhan downplayed the impact of Choudhry leaving the party, stating that the Congress is a big family and that over the past year, 40-42 former MLAs and MPs had joined the party in Haryana. He emphasized that if Choudhry chooses to leave, it would not significantly impact the party. Bhan also highlighted Choudhry’s recent statement about the Congress not having a future in Haryana and noted that she has now joined the ruling party, implying that everyone has the right to determine their own future.
