Israeli troops and tanks launched a ground offensive in northern Gaza today. After more than two weeks of airstrikes, several terrorist positions were targeted to prepare the battlefield for a possible major ground offensive, the army said. The attack comes as the United Nations warns that the Gaza Strip is about to run out of fuel, forcing it to suspend relief operations in the area.
