27-05-2023 (Press Ki Taquat)- Gujarat Titans have made it to the finals of IPL 2023. Gujarat defeated five-time champions Mumbai Indians by 62 runs in the Qualifier-2 match played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on May 26 (Friday).
In the match, Mumbai had a target of 234 runs to win but their entire team was limited to 171 runs in 18.2 overs. Now Gujarat Titans will face Chennai Super Kings in the final match on May 28 (Sunday). Shubman Gill was the hero of this great victory of Gujarat Titans, who played an innings of 129 runs.
Talking about Mumbai Indians’ batting, Suryakumar Yadav scored 61 runs in 38 balls, which included seven fours and two sixes. However, Surya’s innings looked pale in front of Gill. Apart from Surya, Tilak Verma contributed 43 runs in just 14 balls with the help of five fours and three sixes, while Cameron Green played an innings of 30 runs.
Apart from this, the rest of the Mumbai batsmen could not do anything special. Fast bowler Mohit Sharma took five wickets for 10 runs in 2.2 overs for Gujarat Titans. Along with this, Mohammad Shami and Rashid Khan got two successes each.
