Empanelment process should be transparent & competitive, Aman Arora asks officials

Chandigarh, September 18 (Press Ki Taquat)

In a bid to empower the youth by imparting industry-relevant skill training for enhancing their prospects for a better livelihood, Punjab Skill Development Mission (PSDM) has embarked on the process to empanel training partners having the vision and dedication to enhance the skills and employability of individuals in the state.

Disclosing this here today, Punjab Employment Generation, Skill Development and Training Minister Mr. Aman Arora said that PSDM has released Expression of Interest (EOI) 7.0, which is available at https://eproc.punjab.gov.in for review of interested organisations, which can apply till October 4, 2023 by 3PM. The EOI seeks to identify experienced and reputed training partners who will join hands with the PSDM to deliver high-quality skill development programs across various sectors. These programs should be designed to equip the workforce with the knowledge and skills for success in their careers.

While asking the department officials to keep the focus on bridging the gap between the skilled workforce and requirement of industry, Mr Aman Arora said that the empanelment process should be transparent and competitive.

Inviting the applications from the training partners, he said that Private Academic/ Technical Institutions must possess state-of-the-art infrastructure that promote innovation in the skill-training life cycle, utilising the latest techniques and equipment as the PSDM is keen on imparting training in emerging fields including Artificial Intelligence (AI), Cloud Computing and more. The list of future technologies is subject to change to meet industry demands.

Notably, the applicant entity must be registered as a Company/ Partnership/ Proprietorship/ Public sector undertaking/ Public sector company/ Society/ Trust/ NGO prior to June 1, 2020. The applicant entity should not be blacklisted by any donor, State Government, Central Government, or any competent authority from which they have received allocations for skill development training.
