During the three-day US-India Aviation Summit in Washington DC, USTDA director Enoh T Ebong made an announcement regarding the approval of grant funding by the US Trade and Development Agency (USTDA) for technical assistance. The funding will be used to support the creation of an integrated aviation hub at the Hisar Airport in Haryana, India. This initiative aims to enhance the airport’s cargo and logistics infrastructure, thereby strengthening India’s supply chain network. Although the exact amount of the grant funding was not disclosed, Ebong emphasized that the USTDA’s partnership for this project will be with the Haryana Airports Development Corporation (HADC). The USTDA’s assistance will include capacity building to facilitate the implementation of the integrated aviation hub by the HADC. The summit is b eing attended by high-ranking officials from both India and the US, as well as representatives from the corporate sector.
