External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi convened for discussions regarding the border situation during their meeting at the G20 summit. The two leaders focused on the advancements made in the disengagement of military personnel in the areas of Demchok and Depsang, located in eastern Ladakh. This meeting marked the first significant diplomatic interaction between the two nations following the successful completion of the troop disengagement process at these two contentious locations along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in the strategically important mountainous region.
