Patiala,09-02-23(Press Ki Taquat): Samrala, February 9 (Dr.Jitinder Kumar Jharudi/Nwaroop Singh Dhaliwal): Today, a delegation of the committee under the leadership of Santokh Singh Nagra, president of District Ludhiana Kisan Majdoor Sangharsh Committee of Punjab, went to S. to solve the problem of stray cattle. D. M. Samrala was met and given a requisition letter. As demanded in the demand letter, there has been a lot of stray cattle in and around the city of Samrala, due to which one or the other accident happens every day. To which Prasashan is fast asleep. Herds of these stray animals are encamped on the main Chandigarh Ludhiana road, due to which common passers-by collide with them and cause loss of life or property. Recently, a resident of Mohali has lost his life due to a car hitting these stray cattle near village Bondli. Apart from this, these stray animals go into the farmers’ fields and destroy their crops, nowadays these animals are destroying a lot of wheat crops. On the other hand, the government collects crores of rupees by imposing cow cess on electricity bills and cow cess on many other things in the name of these stray animals, but no one solves these stray animals. Through this demand letter, the union demanded that the Samrala administration should catch these stray cattle and leave them in the cowshed so that the accidents caused by these cattle and the financial loss of the farmers can be avoided. The union warned the administration and said that if the administration does not take any appropriate action within the next few days, the union will catch these stray animals and send them to S. D. M. The office premises will be locked from the outside, which will be the responsibility of the administration. After receiving the demand letter, S. D. M. Samrala assured the union that a solution would be found soon. Other office bearers of the union including Kashmir Lal, Krishna Lal, Gurnam Singh, Gurmel Singh, Vijay Kumar, Dalveer Singh, Nirmal Singh Inder Chand and Kulwant Singh Tark etc. were present on the occasion of handing out the demand letter.
