For centuries, millions of devotees have been eagerly waiting to catch a glimpse of their revered deity, Lord Rama. After the installation of Lord Rama’s idol in Ayodhya temple, there has been a surge in the number of pilgrims flocking to the temple for darshan. Consequently, the situation has become chaotic and to maintain control, the administration has temporarily suspended the operation of special buses from various districts to Ayodhya. Those who have already booked their tickets online will be refunded. However, regular buses will continue to operate as usual. In light of the heavy crowd of devotees, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has also advised its leaders to refrain from visiting Ayodhya for now.
After the consecration of the Ayodhya temple, there is an immense enthusiasm among the devotees of Lord Rama. A large number of Rama devotees are flocking to the birthplace of Lord Rama to catch a glimpse of the holy site. According to reports, today, around two to three lakh pilgrims have already visited the temple, while there are still many more devotees waiting to have a darshan. To manage the crowd, Chief Minister Yogi’s orders have led the Principal Secretary of Home, Sanjay Prasad, and the Deputy Inspector General of Law and Order, Prashant Kumar, to set up a camp in Ayodhya. They are stationed inside the sanctum sanctorum of the Rama temple, overseeing the arrangements.
The police have devised a plan to control the crowd, with multiple measures in place. Firstly, there are three entry points to the temple, ensuring that the flow of people is regulated and organized. Additionally, to ensure a smooth exit, two additional routes have been designated for the return journey. To further enhance security, the Rapid Action Force (RAF) has been deployed at strategic locations around the temple. Furthermore, the Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) has also been stationed within the temple premises to maintain a vigilant presence. Several IPS officers have been assigned temple duty to oversee the smooth functioning of operations. To maintain order and discipline, the police have established a chain of command, with continuous announcements being made to keep the public informed and aware of the regulations in place.
In view of the heavy crowd of devotees in Ayodhya, the BJP has instructed its leaders not to visit the Ram Lalla temple for now. As a result, all the leaders are currently postponing their programs. Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and his cabinet ministers will now visit Ram Lalla for darshan in the first week of February. CM Dhami will go to Ayodhya on 2nd February and seek the blessings of Lord Ram by visiting the temple.
