Gurdaspur/Pathankot, June 26 (Ozi news desk): In response to a call from a villager in Kot Bhathian hamlet near the International Border, the police districts of Pathankot, Gurdaspur, and Batala were immediately put on high alert. The villager reported that two suspicious individuals had entered his house carrying bags filled with weapons and ammunition. The villager claimed that one of the men even pointed a pistol at him, forcing him to prepare dinner for them. Before leaving, the two men threatened the villager with severe consequences if he contacted the police. The police took the report seriously and conducted a thorough investigation, which confirmed that the villager was telling the truth. As a result, the Pathankot SSP, Suhail Qasim Mir, was informed, and the police districts of Batala, Gurdaspur, and Pathankot were all placed on high alert. Additionally, the BSF and the Army were requested to be on standby, ready to assist in the joint search operation. The identity of the villager has been kept confidential for security reasons.
