The Patwari and Kanungo have extended their strike by two more days due to their demands. The Patwari and Kanungo will continue their strike on 18th and 19th January as well. It is known that the Patwari has been on strike continuously since 3rd January. As a result, the general public is quite troubled.
Under the banner of the Revenue Patwar and Law Association, the symbolic protest that is taking place received support from Subhash Chandaliya, the district head of the Panipat Municipal Employees Union, on Tuesday. He stated that while the government claims to work towards the development of all, it should also include the patwaris in this ideology. The government should fulfill the demands that it has accepted.
Malik, the former Pradesh Adhyaksh of Haryana Roadways and current Pradesh Upadhyaksh of Haryana Kisan Congress, stated that the government is playing games with its employees. Put an end to this game, fulfill the demands of the government employees, and put them back to work for the public.
Malik said that the government is troubling its employees with authoritarian behavior. This is causing a lot of anger. Mukesh Kumar, the head of the Patwari Association, and Vijendra Sharma, the deputy head, said that we want to work for the people and the government, but the government is forcing the employees to sit idle.
Due to this reason, there are more than 30,000 pending cases in the Panipat district. Approximately 15,000 domicile income certificates and caste certificates are pending. The revenue loss is around 50 crore rupees. If the government does not act in time, there will be a lot of anger among the employees. Media spokesperson Sudhanshu has informed that even after 13 days, the government has not addressed the demands of the protesting patwaris and employees, causing inconvenience to the general public and employees in this harsh cold weather.
Today also, the government did not call for any dialogue. Nor could they come up with any solution to the problem. Due to this, the regional executive committee has called for a protest on 18th and 19th January. In today’s protest, representatives of the Panipat Municipal Corporation Employees Union, including Deputy Chief Balraj Krishna Bagdi, Rajendra Om Prakash Ved, Secretary, and clerks Bharat Singh, Surjit, Pankaj, representatives of CAWS, addressed the protest.
