On Monday, the newly appointed Cabinet Minister convened a meeting with the district administration to assess the progress of ongoing projects within the district. Shruti Choudhry, who has been entrusted with two significant portfolios, articulated that her primary focus would be on ensuring the equitable distribution and availability of potable water across South Haryana and the entire state. She stated, “I conducted a meeting with the district administration to evaluate the current initiatives. My objective is to achieve complete implementation of the schemes established by both the Central and state governments.” Shruti highlighted the critical shortage of drinking water in the region and pointed out the pressing drainage issues affecting urban areas. She has mandated the district administration to provide a progress report within a month regarding these concerns. In a related development, Cabinet Minister Krishan Lal Panwar also held his inaugural meeting with district administration officials in Panipat, where he outlined an 11-point agenda for discussion. He underscored the necessity for prioritizing development initiatives and made it clear that any negligence from officials would not be tolerated.
