Actor Govinda’s wife, Sunita Ahuja, made a visit to Criticare Hospital on Wednesday morning to check on her husband, who suffered a bullet wound to his leg from his own revolver. Sunita provided an update on Govinda’s condition, reassuring everyone that he is doing “better” and is expected to be discharged in two days. She mentioned that he would be moved to a regular ward later that day and expressed relief that he has shown significant improvement since the previous day. With heartfelt gratitude, she acknowledged the support from fans, saying, “With everyone’s blessings, he has recovered… I want to tell the fans not to panic; he is fine.” The unfortunate incident occurred around 4:45 am on Tuesday when Govinda was preparing to leave for Kolkata and accidentally discharged his licensed revolver while trying to put it back in the cupboard, as reported by the Mumbai Police. His manager, Shashi Sinha, explained that the gun slipped from Govinda’s hand, resulting in the accidental shooting. Fortunately, the bullet was successfully removed by the doctors, and Govinda’s condition remains stable. Later that day, he expressed his gratitude in an audio message to the medical team and all those who have been supporting him during this time.
