Ardaas, which translates to prayer in English, evolved beyond a spiritual practice for Gippy Grewal, becoming a successful Punjabi film that reshaped his career. In 2016, Gippy transitioned from acting and production to writing and directing to engage in more meaningful storytelling. The initial Ardaas film deeply resonated with audiences, leading to the well-received sequel Ardaas Karaan in 2019. Now, five years later, Gippy returns with Ardaas Sarbat De Bhale Di, the third installment of this beloved franchise. The inspiration for the latest film came unexpectedly to Gippy, emphasizing the role of God’s will in the creative process. During the teaser launch, Gippy shared, “This story was the most challenging to bring to life, but it came to me in just 15 minutes. I was discussing with a friend about our next steps, and when asked if I had a story in mind, I initially said no. However, within 15 minutes, the story came to me, and we spent seven hours straight discussing and developing it. Soon after, we began working on it.”
