Pakistan, 30-05-2023 (Press Ki Taquat)- A film based on a comic book is being made in Pakistan. Umro Iyer, a very famous character of Urdu literature, is now going to be seen on the big screen. The VFX-laden fantasy thriller ‘Umro Iyer’ has another interesting twist. For the first time in this film, a Pakistani actress will be seen in full action avatar.
Several movies have been made in Hollywood based on the comic books and characters based on these comics. Their popularity is so high that Marvel’s comic superheroes are also very popular in Asian countries. Movies based on comic book characters such as Ironman, Captain America or Spiderman have earned such a huge fan following and earnings in India that sometimes even Bollywood movies lag behind them.
Indian cinema has also seen superheroes like ‘Krrish’ of Bollywood or ‘Minal Murali’ of Malayalam cinema. And Tamil cinema has got a tech-born superhero named Chitti from Rajinikanth’s ‘Robot’ whose swag level is very high.
But for the first time in Pakistani cinema, a comic book superhero is going to be seen on the big screen. The first look of the cast of Pakistani film ‘Umro Iyer’ has started coming out and people are very excited to see them.
