Chandigarh, February 15 (ozi news desk): In anticipation of a meeting with a panel from the Centre, farmer leader Sarwan Singh Pandher expressed his belief that the prime minister should engage in dialogue with the three visiting Union ministers to address the concerns of the farmers.
The meeting, scheduled for 5 pm, will involve Agriculture and Farmer Welfare Minister Arjun Munda, Minister of Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal, and Minister of State for Home Affairs Nityanand Rai. The farmers have put forth various demands, including the implementation of a law ensuring Minimum Support Price (MSP) for crops.
Pandher, the general secretary of the Kisan Mazdoor Sangharsh Committee, emphasized the importance of accepting the farmers’ demands during a media briefing at the Shambhu border. He urged the prime minister to personally engage with the delegation of ministers and find a resolution for the farmers’ grievances.
