Former Union Minister Smt. Preneet Kaur today strongly condemned the manhandling of BJP workers and villagers by Punjab Police at Masingan, Sanaur, where the Bharatiya Janata Party had peacefully organized a camp to facilitate access to centrally sponsored welfare schemes such as Ayushman Bharat, PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, and other flagship initiatives of the Modi Government.
She said the camp was held with full authorization and transparency, yet the Aam Aadmi Party government, out of sheer political insecurity, ordered the police to forcibly dismantle it. “Instead of fighting crime and drugs that are destroying Punjab’s youth, the state police is being misused as a political tool to intimidate villagers and BJP workers. This is not governance—it is vendetta politics,” Preneet Kaur remarked.
Smt. Preneet Kaur added that it was not just Masingan — “Across Punjab, BJP camps have been disrupted and even senior leaders were taken into police custody simply for working to deliver welfare schemes to the people. This shows the extent of AAP’s fear and frustration.”
Referring to the recent “Saam, Daam, Dand, Bhed” remark made by AAP leader Manish Sisodia in connection with the 2027 Assembly Elections, she said today’s incident was a glaring example of the same corrupt and dictatorial mindset.
She confirmed that the Punjab BJP has submitted a representation to the Hon’ble Governor of Punjab, demanding immediate action against the officers who acted at the behest of the AAP government, and calling for protection of people’s democratic right to benefit from central schemes.
Concluding firmly, she said:
No amount of intimidation or political vendetta will deter us. The BJP will continue to take these welfare schemes to every corner of Punjab and ensure that people get what is rightfully theirs under the Modi Government. AAP today stands completely exposed as anti-Punjab.
