Asks CEs to frequently review progress and quality of works at their level

Chandigarh, October 21 

          Punjab Public Works Minister Harbhajan Singh ETO on Saturday carried out a detailed head-wise review of PWD works with Secretary Public Works Priyank Bharti and Chief Engineers (CEs) of the department.

          During the meeting the PWD officials apprised the Minister Harbhajan Singh ETO that most of Administrative Approvals have already been issued and award process of works is in progress. The PWD Minister directed the officials to complete allotment of works at the earliest, so that bituminous works can be completed before the onset of the winter season.

          The Minister also agreed to the proposal regarding having link officers during non-availability of officers for improving Administrative functioning of department.

          Reiterating the Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann led Punjab Government’s commitment to boost development of the state, Harbhajan Singh ETO  advised the Chief Engineers to frequently review the progress and quality of works at their level.

          Chief Engineers including Ravi Chawla, Vijay Chopra, Gagandeep Singh, Param Jyoti Arora, and the Superintending Engineers along with the Senior officers of PWD were present in the meeting.
