The Enforcement Directorate (ED) announced on Saturday that it has uncovered purported irregularities following a series of raids conducted in connection with a money laundering investigation focused on the alleged “black marketing” of tickets for two highly anticipated music events featuring the British rock band Coldplay and the actor-singer Diljit Dosanjh. The agency executed searches on Friday across 13 locations spanning five states, including Delhi, Maharashtra (specifically Mumbai), Rajasthan (Jaipur), Karnataka (Bengaluru), and Punjab (Chandigarh). This action was initiated after the federal investigative body lodged a criminal case under multiple provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, indicating the seriousness of the allegations being investigated. The concert featuring Diljit Dosanjh, titled ‘Dil-Luminati,’ is set to take place over the weekend on October 26-27 at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi. In contrast, the Coldplay concert, part of their ‘Music of the Spheres World Tour,’ is scheduled for January 2025 in Navi Mumbai, highlighting the significant public interest and potential financial implications surrounding these events.
