Elections for three Rajya Sabha seats in Delhi and one in Sikkim will be held on January 19. It is to be noted that the six-year tenure of AAP’s Sanjay Singh, Sushil Kumar Gupta and Narain Das Gupta is ending on January 27 next year. The tenure of Hishe Lachungpa of Sikkim Democratic Front also ends on February 23. Sanjay Singh was arrested by the ED in a money laundering case related to the excise policy. He has been suspended from the Rajya Sabha since July 24. The process of nominations for four Rajya Sabha seats will start on January 2 and will continue till January 9.
