Chandigarh, September 19 (Press Ki Taquat)

          Social Justice Empowerment and Minorities Minister Dr. Baljit Kaur has instructed the officials of various departments of the Punjab Government and the Deputy Commissioners of Punjab State to take action against individuals whose fake Scheduled Caste and Backward Class Certificates have been canceled. However, as of today, no legal action has been taken these indiviual’s.

          The cabinet minister revealed that a scrutiny committee has been established at the state level by the Punjab Government. So far, Scheduled Caste Certificates have been canceled of district Patiala’s Avinash Chandra, Shinder Kaur, Raju, Amrik Singh, Jagdish Singh, Amar Kaur, Arvind Kumar of Kapurthala, S.A.S Nagar’s  Pramod Kumar, Jasvir Kaur, district  Ferozepur’s Geeta, Jaswinder Singh, Balwinder Kumar, Harpal Singh of Ludhiana, Jatinder Kaur, Lekhraj of Muktsar Sahib, Sukhtiar Singh of Fazilka. Additionally the Backward classes Certificate of Sonia Malhotra from Patiala also have been canceled. Additionally Dr. Amrit Kaur and Dr. Davinder Kaur Scheduled Caste Certificates case is under process. The minister stated that Deputy Commissioners concerned districts have been instructed to cancel and seize fake Scheduled Caste certificates. Furthermore, relevant departments have been directed to pursue legal action against those who secure jobs based on fraudulent certificates.

          Dr.Baljit Kaur emphasized that the Punjab Government upholds principles of integrity and is dedicated to maintaining high standards of integrity. She reiterated that the Punjab Government will continue to take action against those who misuse Scheduled Caste certificates.

          The Minister has instructed the concerned Deputy Commissioners to resolve these cases within the department’s specified timeframes and submit reports accordingly. She emphasized that the Punjab Government, led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, is committed to safeguarding the interests of Scheduled Caste individuals.
