The District Consultative Committee Meetings were today held under the Chairmanship of Dr Harjinder Singh, I.A.S. & ADC (D), Patiala. The issues related to Banks and other Govt Departments were discussed in detail. The meeting was convened by Rajiv Sirhindi, Lead District Manager and was also attended by Official from Reserve Bank of India Graima Bassi and from NABARD Parvinder kaur Nagra.
Speaking on occasion Dr Harjinder Singh told Bankmen to expedite the process flow for sanction and disbursement of loans to beneficiaries under Govt Sponsored Schemes. He also told that Govt has come up with numerous public welfare schemes and cooperation from banks is need of the hour so that these schemes may reach to the each and every person of the society. He also told that the Patiala District Administration has its own social media pages on various sites, which may be used for any information related to Govt schemes.
Graima Bassi from RBI told that the camps for Digital Literacy should be conducted by banks so that the digital frauds may be reduced. The Agriculture Infrastructure Fund and Farmer Producer Groups were discussed by Parvinder Kaur Nagra from NABARD.
Rajiv Sirhindi, Lead District Manager took up the Agenda and discussed with various departments including District Industries Corporation, SC/ST Corporation, Municipal Corporation, Agriculture Department, and Fisheries department, Animal Husbandry and Dairy Development, NRLM, Day-NULM, Social Security Department for the implementation of schemes in Banks operating in Patiala District.
The Security of Banks, its ATMs and prevention of Digital Frauds was discussed by Sukhdev Singh from Punjab Police. He emphasized that during the winter season, the incidents of ATM theft may increase and the Banks to ensure that all CCTVs are in working conditions at Banks and ATMs. He also told that Police is also taking all steps to avoid the digital frauds and a helpline is being created for resolution of complaints related to digital frauds.
The meeting was attended by District Coordinators from all the Banks of Patiala District. The Banks also ensured the Patiala District Administration for fullest support in implementation of all Govt Schemes through Banks.
