Patial (Press Ki Taquat Bureau) On 23.1.2021, inspection was conducted in New District Jail, Nabha and Maximum Security Jail, Nabha by Sh. Rajinder Aggarwal, Ld. District and Sessions Judge-cum-Chairman, District Legal Services Authority, Patiala, Madam Deepti Gupta Chief Judicial Magistrate and Madam Parminder Kaur, Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, Patiala. On this occasion, Hon’ble Judges talked to the jail inmates regarding their grievances/problems being faced by them. Jail Superintendents, other officers and staff of the jails were instructed to ensure timely redressal of their grievances and problems and were directed to pay special attention towards health and medical facilities, which are being provided to the jail inmates. They were asked about their interim/regular bail. Sh. Rajinder Aggarwal, Ld. District & Sessions Judge, Patiala revealed that inspection of jails is conducted regularly, so that jail inmates may be made aware about their legal rights and free legal aid may be provided to them. He further told that for getting free legal aid, needy person can contact on toll free helpline number 1968.
