February 10(ozi news desk):
Resham Singh Yatri, the general secretary of BKU (Sidhupur) in Bathinda district, stated that preparations are underway for the protest organized by the SKM (Non-Political). This time, they are receiving a positive response as the government had already met their demands during the previous protest on Delhi borders. In addition to collecting ration and funds door to door, village teams are organizing tractor marches to gather support for the protest.
A leader from the farm union emphasized that the protest is necessary due to the farmers’ demand for a law ensuring Minimum Support Price (MSP). He further mentioned that implementing the recommendations of the Swaminathan Commission could bring significant changes to the agricultural sector, addressing issues such as crop insurance, debt relief, and additional compensation for land.
