February 14 (ozi news desk): India, plagued by injuries, may introduce two new players, Sarfaraz Khan and Dhruv Chand Jurel, in the third Test against England. The upcoming match will be played on a similar track to the previous two Tests.
Shubman Gill, who scored a century in the last match, did not participate in optional training due to a finger injury sustained while fielding in the second Test. However, Gill has stated that the injury is not severe.
With Shreyas Iyer dropped and KL Rahul still recovering, Sarfaraz has the opportunity to showcase his skills after performing exceptionally well in the Ranji Trophy. Jurel’s impressive batting abilities may also give him an edge over KS Bharat, who has struggled to score runs in recent Tests.
