Chandigarh, 03-06-2023 (Press Ki Taquat)- Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal presented the new look of Sri Mata Mansa Devi Shrine Board, Panchkula to the officials and Central Building Research Institute (CBRI) representatives. And ordered to ensure speedy preparation of master plan so that Shri Mata Mansa Devi and Shrine Board can be given a big shape as soon as possible and development work can be started as soon as possible.
The Chief Minister was presiding over the Murantham and Master Plan meeting of Sri Mata Mansa Devi Shrine Board, Panchkula at his residence Sant Kabir Kutir. In the meeting, Vidhan Sabha Speaker Gyan Chand Gupta, Local Government Minister Dr. Kamal Gupta, Panchkula Mayor Kulbhushan Goyal were also present.
In the meeting, the Chief Minister was informed that according to the plan, Sri Mata Mansa Devi can be given a new look like the Kashi Vishwanath temple corridor. It has been drafted by the Central Building Research Institute (CBRI), Roorkee.
It was said in the meeting that a special plan has been made to give a new look to the temple in the draft of the master plot. The journey to reach the main temple will start from Shakti Dwar. Here a Shakti Corridor will be built up to the main temple and this route will be named Shakti Path. Pilgrims walking on the Shakti Path will reach the main temple of Sri Mata Mansa Devi.
In the draft plan, a large Hanuman watika will also be built at the shrine site. There will also be a 108 feet tall statue of Lord Hanuman (in a sitting position), whose darshan can be seen from Shakti Darwaja, about 1 km away.
Apart from this, the plan will also establish upasana place, Narayan Seva place, Nitya Park, Tikona Park etc. It is also proposed to start a ledger show in an open air theater for devotees. In the draft plan, provision has been made for making Shakti Chowk.
The renovation of Sri Mata Mansa Devi Shrine will be done in a phased manner. The government’s aim is to promote heritage tourism in the region. Besides, a part of this place will be developed as a commercial hub. A separate shopping complex will be built here. Multi level parking and bus stop will also be constructed. There is also a separate route for vehicles and pedestrians. An open air theater will also be built with Lloyd and Sound Show, which will have a seating capacity of around 500 people.
Chief Principal Secretary to Chief Minister D.S. Dhesi, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister V. Umashankar, Commissioner and Secretary of Local Government Department Vikas Gupta besides senior officials were present in the meeting.
