New Delhi, 20-05-2023 (Press Ki Taquat)– The Central Government has approached the Supreme Court for review of the decision of the Constitutional Bench of 11 May. The Supreme Court had said that the Delhi government has legislative and executive power over services in the national capital.
The Center yesterday brought an ordinance to create the National Capital Civil Services Authority. Through this Ordinance, the Center has given transfer and posting powers to the Lieutenant Governor.
According to this ordinance, the transfer and appointment of officials in the capital will now be done through the National Capital Civil Services Authority (NCCSA). The Ordinance states that the Chief Minister of Delhi will be the Chairman of the NCCSA and the Chief Secretary and the Home Secretary will be its members.
