New Delhi/Srinagar, July 27 (Ozi news desk): A deadly encounter took place in the Kamakari sector of Jammu and Kashmir’s Kupwara district, resulting in the tragic death of an Army personnel and injuries to four others, including a captain, as the Indian Army successfully thwarted an attack by Pakistan’s Border Action Team (BAT).
According to military sources, the intense gunfight lasted for hours, during which two intruders managed to escape back to Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). The group of three intruders had launched a grenade and opened fire on a forward post near the Kumkadi post in Trehgam sector of the north Kashmir district.
