– CM talked to parents of children of Model Culture Schools
Chandigarh , October 14 (Press Ki Taquat)- Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal said that out of 7400 classrooms of the state’s Government Model Culture Primary Schools, 4035 smart classrooms have been made , the remaining classrooms will be converted into smart classrooms this year.
He was discussing with the parents of students studying in Government Model Sanskriti Primary Schools from Chandigarh through online medium during the “Special Discussion” program today.
He said that keeping in mind the learning ability of every student, new technologies are being used for teaching in these schools. The walls of these schools have been decorated in such a way that an educational environment has been created by painting teaching materials on the walls. With this, students can learn by seeing , reading and through pencil. The entire building has been converted into a prop. He told that under the new education policy, we are preparing such educational institutions in the state , in which education will be provided from KG class of small children to PG class of young students. In this way, complete education will be available under one roof. Admissions have been done under KG to PG scheme in four universities of the state, Bhagat Phool Singh Girls University , Khanpur Kalan , Kurukshetra University , Kurukshetra , Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University , Hisar and Maharishi Dayanand University , Rohtak.
The process of opening Model Culture Primary School was started in 2017.
The Chief Minister called upon the parents to inspire their children to move forward in the field in which they are proficient. Let the child decide for himself what he will become in future . Give your full support in building his career. Help in enhancing children’s likes and interests. For the all-round development of children, maintain a balance between the three S’s i.e. study , sports and screen time. Along with this, they should also take out time for sports , with the advent of mobile phones and internet, children are spending more time than necessary , curb this habit of theirs. He inspired the parents of children to narrate inspirational stories of great men like Maharaj Shivaji.
On this occasion, Chief Minister Shri Manohar Lal said that we had started the process of opening Government Model Sanskriti Primary School in the state in 2017 with the aim of providing high quality education to the children of the poorest of the poor families from the primary level itself . At that time, a Government Model Sanskriti Primary School (Bag Free School) was opened in each of the 119 blocks of the state . Seeing the success of these schools in providing education, members of school management committees , panchayats. Demands for opening more model culture schools began to arise from educationists and public representatives. We expanded these schools on their demand and today their number has increased to 1,419 . More than 3 lakh students are studying in these schools . This proves that these schools are currently competing tough with private schools.
Education is free in model culture schools
The Chief Minister said that for students whose parents’ annual income is up to Rs 1 lakh 80 thousand , education in Model Culture Schools is free. 65 percent of the students studying in these schools are from poor families. We have started Chirag Yojana to provide education to the children of such families in private schools also. Under this scheme, students from economically weaker families are admitted from class 2 to 12 . The government pays the fees of these children. Under this, so far 2,474 children have been enrolled in recognized private schools. In order to reduce the study pressure on children from class 1 to class 2 in these schools, no homework is given to them. The medium of instruction in these schools has been both English and Hindi. For children who want to get education through English medium , the medium of at least one section in every class is English. The foundation of children’s education can be strengthened at the primary level. This has also been emphasized in the National Education Policy.
The Chief Minister said that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has said that ‘ along with bookish knowledge in schools, moral education with values is the main basis of nation building. Taking this thinking forward, the Haryana Government has established Government Model Culture Schools in the state.
He appealed to the parents to take a pledge that they will provide their children with full love , care and education as per the need of the present time. For this, the government is standing with them at every step.
On this occasion, Additional Chief Secretary of School Education Department, Mr. Sudhir Rajpal , Director of Elementary Education Department, Mr. RS Dhillon were also present.
