Karnataka, 08-05-2023 (Press Ki Taquat)– Along with the Karnataka assembly elections, by-elections are also being held in four states of the country. In this Jalandhar Lok Sabha seat of Punjab, Swaran Tanda Vidhan Sabha seat of UP, Chambe Vidhan Sabha seat, Jharsuguda of Odisha and Sohiong Vidhan Sabha seat of Meghalaya will be voted on May 10. In Punjab, the competition between Aam Aadmi Party, Congress, Akali Dal and BJP is being considered. On the other hand, SP and Apana Dal (S) are in a direct contest on both the UP assembly seats. Similarly, interesting competition can be seen in Orissa and Meghalaya.
After the death of Santokh Singh Chaudhary of Congress, the by-election is to be held in Jalandhar Lok Sabha seat. In this, Congress has fielded Santokh Chaudhary’s wife Karamjit Kaur, while BJP’s Inder Iqbal Singh Atwal, Aam Aadmi Party’s former MLA Sushil Kumar Rinku and Shiromani Akali Dal’s current MLA Dr. Sukhwinder Singh are trying their luck. Thus, all the four candidates are in the election field with full enthusiasm. In such a situation, it has to be seen who wins in the by-election to be held in Jalandhar Lok Sabha seat.
