Chandigarh, July 28 (Ozi news desk): Senior leaders representing the Other Backward Classes (OBC) faction of the BJP have once again brought up the issue of the 2016 Jat quota agitation and the alleged involvement of the Congress party. This development is being viewed as a strategic move by the saffron party to highlight the divide between the Jats and non-Jats in the lead-up to the October Assembly elections.
The OBC leaders, including Rajya Sabha member Ram Chander Jangra, Deputy Speaker of Haryana Assembly Ranbir Singh Gangwa, Haryana OBC cell chief Karan Dev Kamboj, and Mayor of Yamunanagar Municipal Corporation Madan Chauhan, have criticized the Congress for its purported role in instigating the Jat quota riots, which resulted in widespread destruction of life and property, including the ransacking of former Finance Minister Capt Abhimanyu’s residence in Rohtak.
