The Delhi BJP today staged a protest at Jantar Mantar over the issue of Trinamool Congress MP Kalyan Banerjee impersonating Rajya Sabha Chairman and Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar and demanded that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and other opposition leaders Apologize Meanwhile, many protesters had tied black bands on their foreheads. BJP President Virender Sachdeva said that the Parliament of the country is the temple of democracy. Lok Sabha Speaker and Rajya Sabha Chairman are not individuals but institutions. Making fun of them and disrespecting them is tantamount to insulting that temple. BJP workers also demanded the resignation of Rahul Gandhi. Addressing the protest, Virender Sachdeva said that can Kalyan Banerjee go to the country’s borders and imitate when the country’s soldiers are doing their duty in sub-zero temperatures? The people of the country will never forgive him for repeatedly insulting constitutional norms. BJP leader Dushyant Gautam said that today the opposition is wandering on the streets and now they will not find their way to Parliament. Member of Parliament Manoj Tiwari said that on one hand the Vice President is being insulted by the opposition and on the other hand the Congress is supporting those who attacked the Parliament. Parliamentarian Pravesh Verma was also present on this occasion.
