Khanna, 27-03-23 (Press Ki Taquat): The police have also arrested Ansar Balwant Singh, who sheltered Tejinder Singh Gill alias ‘Gorkha Baba’, the gunman of fugitive Amritpal Singh, the head of the ‘Waris Punjab De’ organization. Balwant is a resident of village Kuhli Khurd in Malaud, who sheltered Gorkha Baba for two days at his house. Confirming the arrest, SSP Amanit Kondal said that Balwant Kohli and another member were named in the case on Friday. Balwant was arrested after a revelation by Tejinder ‘Gorkha Baba’, who was also Amritpal’s gunman and a member of his Close Protection Team (CPT). Gorkha Baba was arrested by Malaud police on March 22. Another accused, Bikramjit Singh of Mangewal village, who was detained on March 22 and lodged in Goindwal jail, will be arrested after Khanna is brought on production warrant, the police officer said. The officer said that Bikramjit used to keep Gorkha Baba informed about the happenings around him. A case has been registered against both of them.
