Chandigarh, Nov 07 (Ozi news desk): The Consulate General of India in Toronto has announced the cancellation of multiple consular camps, a decision prompted by recent confrontations involving protesters displaying Khalistani flags and attendees at the Hindu Sabha Temple located in Brampton. These consular camps were originally intended to facilitate the issuance of life certificates for Indian pensioners. However, due to the heightened violence attributed to Khalistani extremists, security agencies have expressed their inability to ensure even basic protection for the organizers of these community events. Consequently, the Consulate General issued a statement on X, indicating that the decision to cancel certain scheduled consular camps was made in light of these security concerns.
