On Saturday, an encounter between terrorists and security personnel in the Kulgam district of South Kashmir resulted in injuries to four soldiers and a police officer holding the rank of Sub-Inspector. A senior police official in the region informed The Tribune that the operation is currently ongoing. He confirmed that all injured individuals are in stable condition. The Chinar Corps, based in Srinagar, reported that the operation was initiated following specific intelligence inputs, leading to a coordinated effort by the Indian Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police in the Arigam area of Kulgam. According to police sources, the situation escalated when the terrorists opened fire indiscriminately, prompting a fierce exchange of gunfire.
