Chairperson of Anmol Muskan Kranti w/o Deep Singh Charitable Trust, Amarjit Kaur Pooja, along with the Secretary of NGO Aagaz, Gurvinder Singh Bhatia, visited the family of the young daughter who was savagely assaulted and murdered in Jalandhar a few days ago. Both social activists offered their deepest condolences, heartfelt solidarity, and unwavering support to the bereaved family during this devastating and irreparable loss.
While consoling the grief-stricken parents, the two social activists expressed immense anguish and emotional distress, stating that such a horrifying incident has shaken the moral conscience and humanity of Punjab. They firmly urged that society must rise in unity to ensure the safety, dignity, and protection of every girl child.
On this occasion, Amarjit Kaur Pooja and Gurvinder Singh Bhatia made a strong and urgent appeal to the Punjab Government to extend immediate essential assistance to the victim’s family. They also demanded the harshest and most uncompromising punishment for the perpetrators and called for powerful, actionable, and ground-level reforms to safeguard women and young girls across the state.
They asserted that this is not a time for political showmanship, but a moment for responsible, compassionate, and decisive leadership. Ensuring the honour, dignity, and safety of every mother, sister, and daughter is a collective and moral responsibility of both the Punjab Government and society at large.
