Shambhu,Ambala February 17 (ozi news desk): On Saturday, the police reported that a sub-inspector in Haryana Railway Police (GRP) stationed at Shambhu border during the farmers’ ‘Dilli Chalo’ march had passed away due to health issues. Hiralal, aged 52, experienced a sudden deterioration in his health while on duty on Friday.

Despite being rushed to Ambala civil hospital and receiving medical attention, he could not be saved. Haryana DGP Shatrujit Kapoor expressed his deep grief over the loss of sub-inspector Hiralal. Meanwhile, the security forces at the Shambhu Border continued to confront the protesting farmers who were attempting to enter the national capital.

The clashes between the protestors and the police resulted in injuries to several farmers and journalists. These protests have been ongoing since February 13, and a third round of talks between the central government and the protestors ended without resolution on Thursday.
