(Ozi news desk):
Officials reported on Wednesday that the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) team has collected over 40 samples from the blast site near the Red Fort, which include two cartridges, one of which contains live ammunition, as well as samples of two distinct types of explosives.
– Preliminary investigations indicate that one of the explosive samples is likely ammonium nitrate, according to officials involved in the case. This finding emerged during a broader inquiry into the activities of individuals associated with Al Falah University.
– On Monday, authorities recovered 360 kilograms of ammonium nitrate in Faridabad, leading to the arrest of Dr. Muzammil Ganaie and Dr. Shaheen Sayeed, both of whom are linked to the university. This significant seizure raises concerns about the potential misuse of such materials.
– An official noted that the second explosive sample is suspected to possess a greater potency than ammonium nitrate. The precise nature of this substance will be determined following a comprehensive forensic analysis, which is expected to provide further insights into its composition and potential risks.
