Ahmedabad, March 20 (ozi news desk):  A delegation from Gambia recently visited Gujarat University to discuss safety measures with the Vice-Chancellor following an attack on foreign students for praying in the hostel premises.

The delegation, including officials from the High Commission of Gambia in New Delhi, expressed satisfaction with the steps taken by university authorities to ensure student safety after the incident on March 16.

Vice Chancellor Neerja Gupta mentioned that the Gambian delegation wanted to ensure the safety of their 30 students studying at the university and were pleased with the security measures in place.

The Gambian officials were briefed on the safety protocols implemented by the university and were content with the assurances provided regarding the students’ well-being after the unfortunate incident.
