Chandigarh, April 9 (Ozi news desk): Prominent Punjabi-origin builder and head of the Guru Nanak Sikh Temple in Canada’s Edmonton, Buta Singh Gill, passed away on Monday after being shot multiple times at a construction site. Buta Singh was the owner of Gill Built Homes, a luxury home building company in Edmonton.
The Edmonton Police Service confirmed the deaths of a 49-year-old and a 57-year-old man, as well as the hospitalization of a 51-year-old man with serious, life-threatening injuries. The injured individual, identified as Sarabjeet Singh, a civil engineer, is currently fighting for his life.
The police have urged citizens to avoid the area of Cavanagh Blvd SW and 30 Avenue SW while they investigate the shooting that took place in the residential area around noon. The police have secured the scene, and EPS homicide investigators will lead the investigation. No further details are available at this time.
