Haryana Chief Minister Mr. Nayab Singh Saini said that today the politics of Punjab is passing through a phase where there is a conflict between power, stability, and public interest. The youth are trapped in the grip of drugs. Punjab needs a government that is not afraid to take decisions for the state’s development, puts the public interest above all, and works in the national interest. All this is possible only under the leadership of Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi. When a Bharatiya Janata Party government is formed in Punjab, we will work to build a ‘Viksit Punjab’ on the lines of the Prime Minister’s resolution of ‘Viksit Bharat’, and Haryana’s welfare schemes will also be implemented in Punjab.
The Chief Minister was interacting with people from various regions of Punjab at his residence ‘Sant Kabir Kutir’ in Chandigarh on Wednesday. On this occasion, more than 500 Sarpanches, Zila Parishad members, and leaders of farmer organizations from different parts of Punjab joined the BJP. Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini inducted them into the party by placing a patka around their necks.
Chief Minister Mr. Nayab Singh Saini said that the BJP has demonstrated its commitment by fulfilling 70 out of the 217 promises from its Haryana Assembly election manifesto within just 18 months, whereas the Aam Aadmi Party government in Punjab could not fulfill even one of its 57 election promises in five years.
He stated that over the past 12 years, more than 2 lakh youth in Haryana have been given government jobs without any ‘kharchi’ (bribes) or ‘parchi’ (political favors), whereas in Punjab, youth are facing discrimination in the name of jobs.
The Chief Minister said that the Haryana government has launched a comprehensive and strict campaign to protect youth from the evil of drugs, whereas the youth of Punjab are trapped in drug addiction. The Punjab government has failed to eradicate drugs.
He mentioned that due to Haryana’s superior sports policy, athletes are winning the highest number of medals in the country in the Olympics, Paralympics, Asian Games, and Commonwealth Games.
He added that the Haryana government is procuring all crops of farmers at MSP. Over the past 12 years, Rs 16,500 crore has been paid to farmers as compensation for crop losses.
He stated that under the leadership of Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi, the country’s culture has been strengthened. The Haryana government has undertaken the celebration of the festivals of Gurus and saints. As part of this initiative, the Parkash Purab of Sri Guru Teg Bahadur Ji, Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji, and Sri Guru Arjan Dev Ji has been celebrated.
The Chief Minister said that Punjab used to be a prosperous state in the country, but Haryana—which was carved out of Punjab nearly 19 years after independence—has today moved far ahead of Punjab in its journey of development.
The Chief Minister said that when a BJP government comes to power in Punjab, the trust and identity that people once had towards Punjab will be restored. The youth will be steered away from drugs, the migration of industries will be halted, youth will be empowered through startups, and fear among business owners will be eliminated.
Former Punjab MP Sardar Jagmeet Singh Brar, OSD to the Haryana Chief Minister Mr. Bharat Bhushan Bharti, Mahender Singh Saini, Sardar Didar Singh Bhatti, Sardar Raghubir Singh Chhinda, Jathedar Baba Punjab Singh, Rajinder Kaur, Vishal Gurjar, and other dignitaries were present on this occasion.
