Baba Siddiqui’s son Zeeshan joins Ajit Pawar’s NCP

Zeeshan Siddiqui, the son of former MLA and prominent NCP figure Baba Siddique, officially joined the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) on Friday, an event that took place in the presence of Maharashtra’s Deputy Chief Minister, Ajit Pawar, as the state gears up for the forthcoming elections. Following his induction into the party, Zeeshan has been designated as the NCP’s candidate for the Vandre East constituency, a position he previously secured in the 2019 elections by defeating Vishwanath Mahadeshwar of the Shiv Sena. Expressing his sentiments after the announcement, Zeeshan remarked that this day holds significant emotional value for both him and his family. He extended his gratitude to Ajit Pawar, Praful Patel, and Sunil Tatkare for their faith in him during challenging times. With the nomination for Vandre East now in hand, he expressed confidence in his ability to win the constituency once more, bolstered by the affection and support of the local populace. Zeeshan’s decision to join the NCP was influenced by his dissatisfaction with the Congress party, particularly after it allocated his previous seat, Bandra East, to the UBT Sena as part of the seat-sharing arrangement within the Aghadi coalition.
