Ludhiana, April 6 (Ozi news desk): Assistant Commissioner of Police (East) Sandeep Singh (35) and his gunman Paramjot Singh (35) tragically lost their lives in a fatal road accident. The incident occurred on a flyover at Dayalpura near Samrala last night, where their Toyota Fortuner collided head-on with a Scorpio.
The road was partially blocked due to a farmers’ protest, and after the collision, the Fortuner crashed into a divider and caught fire. Despite the arrival of a fire tender, both victims had already succumbed to their injuries.
The injured driver, Head Constable Gurpreet Singh, has been transferred to the Civil Hospital in Samrala, while efforts are underway to locate the occupants of the Scorpio, who fled the scene. The police have taken custody of the Scorpio and have registered a case against its driver under various sections of the IPC.
