CPI(M) general secretary Sitaram Yechury has turned down an invitation for the inauguration ceremony of the Ram temple in Ayodhya. “Religion is a personal choice of an individual. Our policy is to respect religious beliefs, and everyone has the right to follow their beliefs. Religion is one’s personal choice and should not be converted into political gains. Comrade Sitaram Yechury will not attend the function despite being invited. In a statement, the Politburo of the Left party said Yechury has been invited to attend the function.
