It elaborated on important issues like construction of Kesau Dam, construction of new link channel from Dadupur to Hamida Head, revival of Saraswati river and heritage development project, bringing water of SYL canal through Himachal Pradesh, imposition of cess on electricity. will be discussed.
The Chief Minister was presiding over a meeting organized by the Irrigation and Water Resources Department, Town and Country Planning and Public Works Department regarding projects worth over Rs 100 crore.
The Chief Minister said that plans should be prepared on a large scale to bring water from the rich areas of the state to the drought-affected areas so that the farmers can get its full benefit.

Mr. Manohar Lal said that it is the priority of the government to provide uninterrupted clean drinking water to citizens in all areas of the state. After this, water for irrigation will be available to the farmers. For this, many schemes are being worked on for drinking water and irrigation.
He said that the water coming from Rajasthan will be stopped by making ponds at different places. Apart from this, work has also been done to increase the capacity of Gurugram Mewat Feeder Canal, JLN Feeder, Hansi Branch. He said that with these irrigation and water projects, there will be relief in groundwater crisis and industrial areas and farmers will also be able to get water for irrigation.
The Chief Minister said that reconstruction of WJC canal in Yamunanagar, concrete link from Moonk Head to Khubdu in Karnal, reconstruction of Gurugram water service channel, capacity increase of STPs in Dhanwapur and Behrampur in Gurugram, Gorakhpur water transport system in Fatehabad. Development, the construction of gambling drain is going on in Jhajjar with an amount of crores of rupees.
The Chief Minister said that it is the government’s effort to strengthen the metro rail and road network to make Gurgaon and Faridabad a better network. Metro trains and fast trains run on this route. For this GMDA will start civil work of 28 km metro rail network in Gurugram within a month. Metro rail connectivity from Rajangla Chowk to Sector 21 Dwarka, Regional Rapid Transit System from Sarai Kalekhan to Panipat is also being developed.
