कैनेडा में शुक्रवार को कोविड -19 के 11,304 नये मामले सामने आए, जिस के साथ कुल मामलों की संख्या 19,57,058 हो गई है। वहां ही अब तक 30,139 मौतें दर्ज की गई हैं। कैनेडा में कोविड -19 के मामलों में लगातार विस्तार जारी है। ओन्टारियो, मैनीटोबा, न्यू बरूनसविक और प्रिंस एडवर्ड आइलैंड में शुक्रवार को रिकार्ड मामले दर्ज किये गए।
सब से अधिक आबादी वाले सूबे ओन्टारियो में 9,571 कोविड -19 के नये मामले सामने आए हैं, जो कि फरवरी 2020 में कोविड -19 महामारी के फैलने के बाद एक दिन में दर्ज की गई सब से अधिक संख्या है। मैनीटोबा में 742 नये मामले दर्ज किये गए, न्यू बरूनसविक में 265 नये मामले सामने आए और प्रिंस एडवर्ड आइलैंड में अब तक के सब से अधिक 40 नये रोज़मर्रा की मामले दर्ज किये गए। ओमीकरोन वेरीऐंट के तेज़ी के साथ फैलने कारण पिछले दिनों में कैनेडा में कोविड -19 के मामले बढ़ गए हैं।
