पठानकोट हवाई अड्डे से दोबारा हवाई उड़ानें शुरू करने के लिए मुख्यमंत्री कैप्टन अमरिन्दर सिंह समेत केंद्रीय मंत्री विजय सांपला, पंजाब कांग्रेस प्रधान और लोकसभा मैंबर सुनील जाखड़, शिक्षा मंत्री अरुणा चौधरी समेत कई नेता पठानकोट हवाई अड्डे पहुंचे और झंडी दिखाकर हवाई उड़ानों की शुरुआत की गई।
